Simon Hurley create. Stamping Foam Heart Cut

Design custom heart stamps by molding foam into any textured surface

Moldable foam transforms from flat sheet to custom stamp in minutes. Heat these foam rectangles with a heat tool, press them into textured surfaces, fabric, bark, dimensional stencils, carved wood, and the foam captures every ridge and valley. The embossed pattern becomes your printing plate, ready for ink or paint.

Each rectangle measures 4.5 × 5.75 inches with substantial 20mm depth that holds detail without collapsing. Die-cut hearts (3.5 × 3.125 inches) lift out cleanly, creating either a heart-shaped stamp or a heart-shaped void for layered printing effects. Press the heart and rectangle separately for coordinated designs, or use the negative space for masking techniques.

This foam accepts repeated heating and reshaping; reheat to flatten and start fresh when you want a different texture. The process rewards experimentation, different heat durations and pressure create varying depths of impression. Background textures for mixed media, repeated patterns for fabric printing, custom elements for card making: the foam adapts to whatever surface you press it against. Two rectangles and two removable hearts provide enough material for building complete compositions or testing multiple textures before committing to your final design.
