Jacquard - Soda Ash Dye Fixer

Soda Ash Dye Fixer

Pre-treat fabric so Procion dyes bond permanently to every fiber

Color that withstands repeated washing without fading or bleeding.

Use soda ash two ways depending on your technique. For immersion dyeing, dissolve it directly into the dye bath after the fabric has absorbed the dye. For direct application methods like tie-dye or fabric painting, pre-soak fabric in a soda ash solution, let it dry, then apply dye to the treated surface. Both approaches activate the chemical reaction that makes the color permanent.

One pound treats approximately fifteen adult T-shirts, though exact quantities vary with fabric weight and technique. The mild alkali won't damage natural fibers but does require gloves during handling. Without this fixer, your beautifully dyed fabric will bleed color with every wash. With it, you get genuinely permanent results that maintain vibrancy through years of use.
