Grafix - Shrink Film
Transform drawn designs into durable miniature charms in your oven
Drawing on shrink film feels like regular paper until you slide it into the oven and watch your design compress into something dense, vibrant, and surprisingly durable. What started as an 8½" × 11" sheet becomes a compact, intensified version roughly 40% of its original size, colors deepen, details sharpen, and flat drawings transform into dimensional pieces thick enough for jewelry and keychains that actually withstand daily use.
The material accepts colored pencils, permanent markers, rubber stamps, and acrylic paints, though testing on scrap pieces first prevents disappointment with colors that might not survive the heat. Lightly sanding the surface with 280–320 grit sandpaper creates tooth for better ink adhesion, particularly useful for stamped designs or pieces that'll see regular handling. Once baked at standard oven temperatures, the film hardens into rigid plastic that holds crisp edges and resists scratching.
Each pack includes ten sheets, enough for multiple projects or room to experiment with technique. Kids enjoy the transformation process under supervision, while experienced crafters appreciate the precision possible in miniature paintings, custom gift tags, and architectural model details. The straightforward process, design, cut, bake, eliminates complicated equipment while delivering professional-looking results that feel handmade without looking homemade.
