Sculpey - Liquid Sculpey

Liquid Sculpey

Bond, transfer, and glaze polymer clay with one bakeable liquid medium

Liquid Sculpey functions as a bakeable adhesive that permanently bonds polymer clay pieces without seams or gaps, no more hoping mechanical joins hold through handling. This translucent medium cures at standard polymer clay temperatures, transforming from pourable liquid to solid during baking. Mix it with oil paints to create surface treatments that cure alongside your sculpture, or add mica powders for dimensional glazes that won't chip or flake. The liquid consistency fills intricate silicone molds completely, capturing fine detail for repeated castings of components like miniature roses or architectural elements.

Beyond assembly work, Liquid Sculpey enables techniques impossible with solid clay. Pour thin layers over polymer clay bases to create convincing faux enamel surfaces with depth and luminosity. Use it as flexible grout between polymer clay mosaic tiles, it moves slightly with the piece rather than cracking like traditional grout. The translucent formula works for stained glass effects when tinted and baked between layers. Thin it with Sculpey Clay Softener to achieve specific viscosities: syrup-thick for controlled drawing, or watery for image transfers from printed materials. Each application bakes to permanent results in your home oven.
