Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Brayers
Roll smooth, even layers of ink and paint across any textured surface
Soft rubber rollers adapt to surface irregularities rather than skipping over them. That flexibility makes these brayers essential for mixed-media work where you're applying color to textured substrates, crackled gesso, embossed patterns, layered collage elements. The roller maintains contact where hard brayers would lift away, ensuring even ink or paint distribution across dimensional surfaces.
Ranger designed these specifically for the Distress product line: inks, oxides, paints, and re-inkers. The rubber formulation picks up and releases these water-based mediums cleanly, whether you're rolling ink directly from pad to paper or creating gradient blends on craft sheets before transfer. Medium brayers (3 5/16 inches) handle backgrounds and larger stamps; small brayers (2 1/4 inches) navigate tight spaces and detailed work.
The footed stand solves two persistent brayer problems. First, it prevents flat spots from developing when the tool sits idle, those dents telegraph through as streaks in your next application. Second, it keeps wet rollers off your work surface between colors, eliminating accidental smears when you're working through multiple hues. Clean the roller with soap and water between colors, or embrace the blending when switching between related tones.
