Plaid - Mod Podge Photo Transfer Medium

Mod Podge Photo Transfer Medium

Transform cherished photos into permanent fabric decals or hard surface art

Inkjet-printed photos become permanent fabric and hard surface transfers with this specialized medium. Print your image, coat it with Photo Transfer Medium, let it dry, then soak and rub away the paper backing, what remains is a thin, flexible decal carrying your photograph's ink. The process works on both light and dark fabrics you can handwash, plus non-porous surfaces like glass, metal, ceramic, and clay.

The chemistry here differs from standard Mod Podge: this formula bonds specifically with inkjet ink while releasing from paper fibers when wet. Apply it thickly and evenly across your printed image, allow 24 hours to cure, then activate the release with water. Patient rubbing removes all paper residue, leaving only the transferred image. On fabric, the result moves with the material rather than cracking or peeling. On hard surfaces, it creates permanent decoration that resists moisture once fully cured.

This carded set includes a 2-ounce bottle and foam brush, enough medium for several small transfers to test the technique before committing to larger projects. Quilters use it for photo memory quilts, crafters for personalized ceramics, mixed media artists for collage elements that started as digital files.
