Traditional pastels can't adjust transparency or add metallic effects without switching to completely different materials. PanPastel Mediums work differently. These dry-form mediums share the same mixable, erasable characteristics as PanPastel colors, integrating seamlessly into pastel techniques rather than disrupting them.
The Colorless Blender increases transparency and softens color transitions without diluting pigment intensity, useful for atmospheric effects and subtle gradations. White mediums tint colors while maintaining the pastel's dry handling; black mediums create rich, jewel-toned shades. Pearl mediums in both fine and coarse versions offer effects ranging from subtle sheens to pronounced shimmer, mixable with any PanPastel color or applied independently.
This starter set includes all five core mediums in 9ml pans plus a complete application kit: storage jar, sponge bar, two knife covers, and mini applicator.
