LYRA - Kneadable Eraser

Kneadable Eraser

Lift highlights and blend values without damaging delicate paper

Graphite and charcoal lift cleanly without disturbing paper fibers beneath. LYRA's kneadable eraser works through absorption rather than abrasion, press it against your drawing and pigment transfers into the eraser itself, leaving the surface undisturbed. This approach prevents the tearing and smudging that standard erasers cause on delicate papers.

The pliable putty molds to whatever shape your technique requires. Roll it to a point for lifting precise highlights from charcoal portraits. Press it flat to soften entire value areas in pastel work. Fold it repeatedly to expose fresh surfaces as it absorbs pigment, extending its working life considerably. The eraser maintains its soft consistency throughout use, never hardening into ineffective chunks.

Both cellophane wrap and plastic case protect against drying between sessions. Store it properly and the eraser stays workable for months, ready when you need to pull light back into a drawing or blend transitions that pencil alone can't achieve. Equally effective across chalk, graphite, pastel, and charcoal, essential for any dry media technique that requires subtractive mark-making.
