The oil itself matches what goes into traditional Holbein Artist Oil Colors, same binding properties, same working qualities. Water dissolves the surfactant during painting, thinning the color and cleaning brushes without solvents. Once dry, that surfactant becomes inert; it doesn't interfere with film formation or archival stability.
