Transform leather finishes from glossy to matte or prep surfaces flawlessly
Leather demands different mediums than canvas or paper. Angelus formulates each medium to solve specific challenges when painting flexible materials, from reducing sheen on sneaker customs to maintaining fabric softness or preparing factory-finished surfaces for fresh color.
Duller medium knocks down the natural shine in Angelus Leather Paint, essential when matching matte factory finishes or creating flat graphic elements. 2-Thin reduces viscosity for airbrush application and paint marker flow, particularly valuable when working porous materials like mesh or cloth where standard paint viscosity causes uneven absorption. The 2-Soft Fabric Medium prevents the stiffness that plague painted textiles; mixed 1:1 with Angelus paints and properly heat-set at 300°F for 3-5 minutes, it keeps sock liners and fabric panels flexible after multiple coats achieve full coverage.
Acrylic Finishers protect completed work from minor scratches and abrasions. Available in Matte, Satin, High Gloss, and Original 600 formulations, these water-based topcoats apply via sponge, brush, or spray gun without requiring buffing. They dry water-resistant and flexible enough for belts, upholstery, and saddle work, anything that flexes repeatedly without cracking or peeling. Leather Preparer and Deglazer strips factory finishes from shoes, bags, and holsters, creating receptive surfaces for dyes and paints. This all-purpose cleaner works exclusively on genuine leather; avoid using it on vinyl or synthetic materials where it may cause damage.
