Shape sculptures that harden naturally without kiln or oven firing

Natural earth clay that dries rock-hard without a kiln removes the biggest barrier to three-dimensional work. Crayola Air-Dry Clay handles traditional hand-building techniques, coil, slab, pinch, score-and-weld, with the same responsiveness as studio clay, then hardens completely at room temperature within 24-72 hours depending on thickness. Fine, smooth texture takes impressions cleanly from rubber stamps and textured materials, while remaining firm enough to support pressed-in beads, stones, or found objects that stay secure as the piece dries.

Available in white and terracotta, this natural clay maintains workability throughout your session; just mist with water to soften edges or create slip for joining sections. Substantial pieces can be carved once leather-hard, giving you control over final details and surface refinement. Once fully cured, the hardened clay accepts tempera, acrylic, and watercolor without special sealers, letting you add color and finish work using materials you already have.

The resealable plastic tub keeps unused clay fresh between projects. Perfect for sculptural experiments, decorative tiles, or relief plaques when kiln access isn't an option.
