Midwest - Easy Miter Box
Make precise angle cuts in balsa and basswood without measuring or marking
Precision angle cuts transform basic materials into professional-looking assemblies, but hand-cutting accurate miters typically requires expensive equipment or years of practice. This injection-molded plastic miter box eliminates that barrier, providing five preset angles, 22.5, 30, 45, 60, and 90 degrees, that guide your saw through clean, repeatable cuts every time.
Three cam clamps secure workpieces firmly against the base, preventing the shifting that ruins angles and wastes material. The system accepts stock up to 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick, handling basswood strips, balsa sheets, and similar modeling materials with equal control. A workbench lip locks the box in place during cutting, so you're controlling just the saw rather than fighting a sliding work surface.
The Deluxe version includes a Zona razor saw with 32 teeth per inch, fine enough for smooth cuts in modeling materials without the tear-out that coarser blades produce. Its 0.010-inch blade thickness removes minimal material, preserving dimensional accuracy when tight tolerances matter. Model builders working with architectural elements, display bases, or scratch-built structures get professional results without investing in full-scale woodworking equipment.
