3M - SandBlaster Sanding Pads and Sponges

SandBlaster Sanding Pads and Sponges

Strip years of finish buildup without constant pad replacement

Consistent cutting action from first stroke to final pass.

Four grit options address specific surface prep stages. Coarse 60-grit strips old paint, varnish, and clear-coat from wood and metal. Medium 100-grit levels bare surfaces before first finish coats. Medium 150-grit smooths those same surfaces with finer scratches. Fine 180-grit prepares freshly coated wood or metal between finish layers. Each grit removes material appropriate to its task without jumping too aggressively or working too timidly.

Flexible foam backing conforms to surface contours while maintaining even pressure. Choose pads (4½" × 5½" × 3/16") for round or highly contoured work where you need wraparound contact. Choose sponges (3¾" × 2⅝" × 1") for flat or slightly contoured surfaces where a smaller profile provides better control. Both formats handle wet or dry sanding, adapting to whatever your finishing schedule demands.
