Pigment ink sits on the paper surface rather than soaking in, which fundamentally changes how it performs. This thicker consistency delivers opaque color that won't bleed into adjacent areas or feather across absorbent papers, critical for crisp stamped edges and clean color boundaries in layered designs. The raised foam pad on Ranger's version ensures even ink distribution across stamps of any size, from delicate detail stamps to large background blocks.
Slower drying time gives you working flexibility: reposition stamps if needed, or heat-set immediately for embossing. Once dry on matte surfaces, the ink becomes waterproof and fade-resistant, maintaining color integrity through handling and display. The pigment formula works equally well as an embossing ink, creating raised designs when heat-set with embossing powder.
Available in two colors as stamp pads, plus half-ounce re-inker bottles to refresh your pads or create custom mixed colors. The bottles extend pad life significantly, a practical consideration for colors you use frequently in card making, scrapbooking, or mixed media work where crisp, permanent stamped images matter.
