Block unwanted print areas with precision-drying, water-soluble filler

Speedball Screen Filler blocks out non-printing areas with thick, opaque coverage that resists water-based inks. Apply it directly to stretched screens using a brush or squeegee, building up edges and details that define your design by controlling what ink passes through. The filler dries to a water-resistant barrier that holds up through multiple print runs without breaking down or allowing ink bleed.

This water-soluble formula cleans up easily before it sets, letting you correct mistakes or refine edges while working. Once dry, it maintains its integrity against repeated squeegee passes and ink contact. The thick consistency fills mesh completely without requiring multiple coats for most applications, though you can layer for extra security on fine meshes or with particularly thin inks.

AP non-toxic certification (ASTMD-4236) makes this filler suitable for classroom and studio environments where safety matters. Available in 8 oz. jars for occasional use or design experimentation, and 32 oz. jars for production work or frequent printing. Works with Speedball's full range of water-based screen printing inks, giving you reliable masking whether you're printing posters, textiles, or fine art editions.
