For acrylics, use the included Sta-Wet paper and sponge as designed; paints absorb moisture gradually, staying fluid through extended sessions without diluting your mixtures. Watercolorists remove the paper and sponge entirely, using the wells and mixing areas directly for traditional wet-on-wet techniques. Oil painters substitute their preferred palette paper over the sponge (paper not included), while the sealed lid retards drying between sessions and keeps dust off fresh paint.
