Higgins Ink Pump Markers Description

Higgins Ink Pump Markers solve the mess and inconvenience of traditional dip pens while maintaining the performance artists expect from bottled ink. The pump mechanism delivers controlled ink flow through 1mm, brush, or chisel tips, eliminating drips and enabling extended work sessions without constant redipping. India Ink formulation handles scratchboard work, technical drawing, lettering, and fabric applications with consistent density. Black Magic variant contains intense black pigments engineered specifically for polyester drafting film, vellum, and prepared acetate, producing even line tone and contrast crucial for reproduction work without peeling or cracking.

The transparent barrel window lets you monitor remaining ink levels before running dry mid-project. Removable nibs and refillable barrels extend the marker's working life, simply refill with Higgins ink when depleted rather than discarding the entire marker. Prime by shaking thoroughly, then flip the cap to expose the built-in ink well that protects the nib during storage. Insert the nib and pump the tip against paper to activate flow. This system maintains Higgins' archival ink quality while delivering the portability and convenience that field sketching and location work demand.
