Speedball - Drawing Fluid and Screen Filler Kit

Drawing Fluid and Screen Filler Kit

Draw freehand designs directly onto screens, then mask and print them with ease

You brush drawing fluid wherever you want ink to pass through the mesh, let it dry, then squeegee screen filler across the entire screen to block everything else. Once the filler sets, you wash out the drawing fluid with cool water, opening those passages for printing. The process inverts traditional stencil thinking, you're literally drawing what will print rather than masking it.

Each 8-ounce bottle provides enough material for multiple screens, depending on your image complexity and screen size. Drawing fluid accepts brushwork, pen nibs, even sponging for textured effects, giving you the freedom to work gesturally rather than mechanically. Screen filler dries to a durable barrier that withstands repeated squeegee passes and solvent-based inks. This approach suits artists who want painterly marks in their prints or need to proof concepts quickly without darkroom equipment. The technique works on standard mesh counts from 10XX to 230, though finer meshes require more careful application to prevent premature clogging.
