Harden acrylic films and bond paint to glass or rigid non-porous surfaces
Golden's hardest acrylic polymer builds durable surfaces on rigid supports. GAC 200 increases film hardness and reduces the tackiness that can plague acrylic applications, particularly in humid conditions. Its minimal flexibility makes it ideal for glass, metal, and other non-porous surfaces where standard acrylics struggle to maintain adhesion.
Mix GAC 200 at up to 33% of your total paint volume to enhance hardness without compromising paint performance. Beyond that ratio, you risk brittleness and potential cracking. Use it straight for applications where flexibility isn't a concern, rigid panels, dimensional objects, or sealed surfaces that won't flex or expand. The high-gloss finish dries with exceptional clarity, maintaining color vibrancy without clouding or dulling pigments.
This medium excels in situations where standard acrylic polymers feel perpetually sticky or fail to bond properly. Glass painting, metal surfaces, sealed wood panels, and dimensional craft applications all benefit from GAC 200's superior adhesion and hardness. Just remember: this is strictly for rigid supports. Canvas and flexible substrates require more forgiving mediums.
