Aqua bronzes need slightly different handling: mix with minimal water on your palette before applying to paper, cardboard, painting board, or canvas. This pre-mixing ensures even pigment distribution and prevents streaking. Oil bronzes demand the most specific approach, combine three parts bronze with two parts Schmincke bronze medium using a palette knife before applying to pre-primed surfaces, wood, metal, or gypsum.
